Historical Origins

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, it was classified as a "tribute." Cao Xueqin's "Dream of Red Mansions" has more than 80 references. In the 41st time, Miao Yu made tea for Lin Yuyu, Jia Baoyu, and Xue Baoying. Because Lin Yuyu couldn't tell whether the water for tea was rain or snow, she was mocked by Miao Yu, Miao Yu said. : This water was snow collected from plum blossom five years ago. It was buried in the ground and was used for cooking.

Magu Tea

After liberation, the output of Magu tea increased by 2.7 times and the average price increased by 25%. In recent years, “Magu Tea” has experienced a series of ebbs and flows, and its production once fell seriously. At present, Nancheng County has a natural and high-quality “Magu Tea” tea garden of 300,000 mu, and has developed Magu Tea. "Sanpin 10 and other series, with an annual output of products, fine "Magu tea" up to more than 30,000 kilograms. Nancheng County is now one of the country’s 100 tea production bases and the 13 major tea production bases in the province. Magu Tea is a traditional tea in Nancheng County.
