Leaf chlorotic spot type

Afterwards, the surrounding areas became purple-brown and formed purple ring spots. Some cultivars developed into yellow spots and even formed blemishes. Leaf type

The veins of the early stage were reticularly transparent, with irregular yellow-green leaves and stripes on the posterior leaf veins.

Wrap type

Leaf shrinkage type

The diseased seedlings have fewer leaves and shrunk, and the leaf margins are not neat or even distorted, with chlorotic spots parallel to the midrib.

Yellow leaf type

Young leaves yellow or reticulate yellow veins, veins and branch veins become reticulate yellow veins.

Cracked potato chips

Dark brown and yellow-brown turtle cracks appear on the tubers.

If the sweet potato shows the above symptoms, it should cause the potato farmers' attention.

At present, there is no specific agent for controlling sweet potato virus disease, and the application of virus-free vaccine is the most effective method. By increasing the organic fertilizer and strengthening the field management, the growth of the potato seedlings can be promoted and the disease resistance can be enhanced. Once the diseased plant is found, it is immediately removed to stop the spread of the virus disease. At the same time, use 25% buprofezin WP or 3% acetamiprid microemulsion to control Bemisia tabaci and aphids to minimize re-infection of sweet potato virus disease.
