Qinming Medical's heavy-duty dual-chamber pacemaker Qinming8631, approved by Qinpu Medical, was approved for the market. It is the first company in China to complete the research and development of dual-chamber pacemakers. The launch of the product has changed the status quo that dual-chamber pacemakers are completely dependent on imports, making import substitution possible.
Cardiac pacemakers are used in patients with more severe arrhythmia, and the use of dual-chamber pacemakers accounts for more than half. According to statistics, there are about 400,000 patients in China who are suitable for implanting cardiac pacemakers, but only about 50,000 people actually undergo surgery. The gap between them is mainly due to expensive equipment costs. At present, the price of imported single-chamber pacemakers is about 20,000 yuan, while the double-chamber pacemakers need 4-5 million yuan, and some advanced functions may even be more than 100,000 yuan.
The approved Qinming8631 is technically up to the middle level of imported products, and the price is expected to be about 30% lower than similar imported products. The lower price allows more patients to afford the use of pacemakers, while also enabling imported products to lower prices and increase product penetration.
