Telemedicine technology will become a development trend On December 19th, the Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Liu Yuqing was invited to Tencent as the main founder of cardiovascular imaging in China. He explained the progress history and future development direction of China's medical imaging. Radiology and imaging will become the development trend of the future medical community.
The three stages of the development of medical imaging Since the discovery of the x-ray by the German Professor Roentgen in 1895, it has been applied to the clinic very quickly. This stage is now exactly 111 years, and the whole development process can be divided into three stages.
The first phase is the clinical and medical application of the x-ray, which has gradually evolved into x-ray diagnosis and therapeutics, which is the first phase.
Later, it gradually developed into radiology. At the stage of radiology, the x-ray diagnosis gradually deepened, and at the same time, various angiographic examinations were carried out, especially like gastrointestinal angiography, heart, angiography, etc., especially selection. Sexual heart and coronary angiography, such as bypass surgery for heart bypass, laid the foundation for these tasks, and this is the second phase.
In the third stage, the formation of radiology was further deepened on the basis of x-rayology, and the preservation was further extensive. As I mentioned earlier, x itself is ionizing radiation, so it belongs to radiology. After it is irradiated by x-rays, it is recorded on the film. This becomes a photo of the x-ray. Taking this for diagnosis is the easiest way. Of course, there are many ways. A feature of radiology, it has developed a number of angiographic examinations, such as gastrointestinal angiography, cardiac angiography, angiography, hepatobiliary angiography, bones, chest, etc., which is an early stage.
From x-rayology to imaging, it was probably from the 1920s. In 1895, Professor Roentgen discovered the x-ray and applied it to the clinic. In the development of x-rays in our country in the early 1920s, radiology was in the 1950s and 1960s.
Later, due to the development and application of ct in the early 1970s, x-ray and radiology were mentioned to a new stage, followed by imaging, radionuclide imaging, ultrasound imaging, and x-imaging. , digital silhouettes, etc., its rise and clinical application, constitute a variety of techniques for imaging diagnosis. On this basis, further development of interventional radiology in the mid-to-late 1970s, especially interventional therapy, can be treated by intervention. Therefore, the combination of the two forms a modern imaging science with both diagnosis and treatment. This is from the mid-to-late 70s to the foreign countries. In the mid-1980s, it mainly refers to the international developed countries. In our country, it mainly refers to developed regions, teaching hospitals, tertiary hospitals, etc. In the mid-1990s, foreign countries were in the mid-1980s, and our country formed a modern medical imaging system in the mid-1990s.
The development of medical imaging The situation in China is now the same in foreign countries, and China is more obvious. Developed areas, coastal areas, such as teaching hospitals, tertiary hospitals, its level and the grassroots level is relatively poor, sometimes like the past patients must be sent to the city to do consultations, after remote imaging inspection, Through digital transmission, it can be sent directly to the grassroots through the computer. The basic layer can be diagnosed and checked by computer. This is called teleradiology and imaging. This is another development trend.
Domestically, it is mainly developed in the developed areas and teaching tertiary hospitals in the 1990s. It is about 10 years behind the foreign countries. Compared with the advanced level of foreign countries, there is still a certain or a considerable gap. From the current situation in China, China's clinical application research is our advantage, to diagnose, check, treat, etc., which is close to the international advanced level, basically no big difference, basically synchronized. However, basic experimental research in China is relatively backward. For example, the clinical application in China is to see a doctor, diagnose and treat. Just to continuously improve the level of diagnosis, like the three development processes of medical imaging, this has gradually developed through basic and experimental research. In particular, the update of new devices, equipment and equipment is still very backward. For example, more than 90% of the most advanced imaging equipment in China is imported in large hospitals. There are only some medium and low-end equipments at the grassroots level. Now domestic production can meet the requirements, and we are even more backward in this respect.
In addition, regarding the clinical application just mentioned, the diagnosis and treatment work in China is not to be academic, and the regional differences are quite large. That is to say, for example, in the city, the level 3 hospitals are much different from the grassroots township hospitals. It is a very weak link in China, and the gap is quite large. This is a very weak link. In addition, on the whole, how to improve the overall quality of our professionals is also a problem that we must work hard in the future. The overall quality of Chinese professionals is still to be improved.
Therapeutic application of modern medical imaging
Medical imaging interventional diagnostics. Mainly focused on diagnosis, as a sub-professional, for example, some of our imaging doctors have specialized interventional doctors in large tertiary hospitals. Of course, he has also been trained in diagnosis and has a certain level of diagnosis, but its specialty The main point of its in-depth is to engage in interventional therapy. Because the development of interventional therapy is very fast, the overall development direction of the entire medical treatment is to develop in the direction of micro-invasive treatment. Intervention is the most important component. In this regard, there has been a lot in interventional therapy. In the field of cardiovascular imaging, we mainly do clinical application research, through clinical how to improve the overall level of various cardiovascular and different diseases in China. One of the most typical examples is the deepening of imaging into the level of cellular molecules, molecular imaging, which has already been carried out in some units in China.
