During the process of crab breeding, farmers should adjust the local nutrition requirements of crabs to local conditions, ensure the source of crabs' bait, promote rapid growth of crabs, reduce disease occurrence, and increase aquaculture efficiency. There are three main points for feeding.
First, the diversity of bait.
1, enough water plants. General requirements for coverage of more than 40%, is conducive to the growth and reproduction of natural food organisms such as small trash fish, crab pond water plants mainly submerged plants, floating plants, emerged plants supplement;
2, put snails. Let it reproduce naturally, for the crabs to eat freely. Snail meat is rich in nutrients, high fat content, can improve the quality of crab;
3, use pellet feed. According to the nutritional requirements of different developmental stages of crabs, animal and dietary feeds are made into pelleted feeds according to certain ratios to promote the rapid growth of crabs;
4, artificial feeding animals and plants. Such as small miscellaneous fish, shrimp, snail, cockroach, silkworm cocoon, pig blood, livestock and poultry organs, frog meat, wheat, bean cakes, fruits, vegetables, aquatic plants, etc.;
5. Regularly add calcium, iron-rich substances to the bait to facilitate crab shelling;
6, timely application of fertilizers. The nutrient requirements for various trace elements in crabs.
Second, bait science
1, animal and vegetable food should be a reasonable match. In the river crab diet combination, animal food should account for 60%, plant foods accounted for 40%;
2, according to the season feeding. The general principle of "two fine, middle green", that is, the spring and autumn feeding, mainly animal feed, supplemented by plant foods, summer foods mainly plant food;
3, according to the habit of feeding crabs. There are nocturnal habits of the crabs. Feeding should be based on feeding at night and supplemented by feeding during the day. Its night feeding amount accounts for 70% of the amount of bait throughout the day;
4, the bait to the appropriate size. The grain size of bait should be suitable for individual size of crab to increase the utilization of bait;
5, shallow water feeding. The bait should be evenly distributed in shallow water areas with aquatic plants, and adhere to the principle of four-shot feeding;
6, sexually mature crab attention feeding. When the crabs are sexually mature, they consume too much energy and therefore have to increase the amount of feeding during the day. At the same time to prevent excessive nutrition and death, especially mature female crabs, more than 85% of the liver, into the gonads, liver function decline, should be fed a large number of plant foods to prevent liver dysfunction and male and female crabs in advance mating, causing death;
7, the implementation of fish and polyculture mode, should be fed after feeding the fish. Fish feed into deep water areas and crab feed into shallow water areas to prevent competition and affect crab growth.
Third, three kinds of bait should not be fed
1, pork skin. Using pork skin, not only the feed conversion rate is low, but also the fat content in the skin is high. After being fed in large amounts, a layer of oil film is easily formed on the surface of the water body, which may easily cause the lack of oxygen in the water body and affect the growth of the crab.
2, potatoes. Crabs do not like to eat, after feeding more sink in the bottom of the rot deterioration, can lead to deterioration of water quality, induce crab disease.
3, sea fish. First of all, seawater fish are frozen for a long time, and there are a large number of pathogens. Long-term feeding can easily lead to high incidence and mortality of river crabs. Secondly, salty seawater fish have high salt levels. After the crabs feed, the gonadal development speeds up and sexual maturity advances, affecting the market size of crabs; Loss of seawater fish is large, utilization is low, and aquaculture costs increase.
