The boiling granulator (commonly known as the one-step granulator) is a product developed abroad. It has been introduced since the early 1970s and has been used in pharmaceutical factories for nearly 40 years. Boiling granulation technology is a technique of mixing, granulating and drying in a fully enclosed container. Compared with other wet granulation methods, it has the characteristics of simple process, short operation time, low labor intensity, and reduced material handling. The number of times and the time required for each process are reduced, thereby reducing pollution to materials and the environment.

The boiling granulation technology has the advantages of fast heat transfer, high heat transfer efficiency, uniform particle size, low density, good fluidity and good compression formability. Less or almost no migration of soluble components between the particles reduces the likelihood of uneven tablet content.

The experimental boiling granulator is a multi-functional fluidized bed integrating the functions of top spray and bottom spray. It has various functions such as mixing, drying, granulating and coating, and is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other industries.

The granulator is a new type of machine that our company has extensively absorbed and digested foreign advanced technology and successfully developed in combination with national conditions. The structure is reasonable, the performance is stable, the operation is convenient, the whole machine has no dead angle, and no exposed screws. The machine adopts PLC automatic control, all operations are automatically completed according to user requirements, and the GMP requirements for pharmaceutical production are fully met. The main features are as follows:

1. It integrates mixing, drying, granulating and coating into one. It can directly dry liquid materials, and has many functions such as rapid drying of granules, powdery materials, granulation and coating.

2. The equipment is working under a closed negative pressure, and the inner surface of the whole equipment is smooth, no dead angle, easy to clean, and meets the requirements of “GMP”.

3. Using PLC+ touch screen control, all operations can be completed automatically according to the set parameters, and the process data can be recorded for analysis.

The working principle and process of the equipment:
The equipment consists of an air inlet system, a fluidized bed system, a top spray system, a bottom spray system, an air outlet system, and a control system. The top spray is a granulation drying function, and the bottom spray is a coating function. The above functions are all realized on the same multi-functional fluidized bed, and the user can select the function according to the actual production process. The powdery material is put into the closed container of the hopper, and the powder suspension is flowed in a fluidized state due to the action of the hot air flow to achieve uniform mixing, and the mist-like adhesive is sprayed to wet the powder in the container to make the powder condense loose. Small particles, while granulating, due to the efficient drying of the hot air, the water evaporates continuously, the powder is continuously solidified, and the introduction process is repeated to form ideal, uniform microporous spherical particles, which are mixed once in the container.
