The research and development team formed by Taiwan Qinyi University of Science and Technology and Xiuchuan Hospital has developed a "MR+VR smart medical glasses" after five years of research on MR hybrid virtual reality glasses, combining VR virtual reality and data gloves data gloves. It allows the remote doctor to guide the disaster site personnel to perform surgery or first aid on the injured. 
It is understood that the key part of this technology, MR hybrid virtual reality smart medical glasses, was developed by the team two years ago. MR smart glasses can see the bones, blood vessels and nerves through the skin. They can also integrate a series of X-rays, computed tomography scans and medical records before surgery to help reduce surgical errors. Currently, the research team has used this technique to complete 60 spinal operations.
Li Peiyuan, head of the R&D team, pointed out that their latest smart medical glasses can not only make surgery more precise, but also can be used in hard-hit areas with insufficient medical resources, whether it is a terrorist attack, a battlefield or an earthquake-stricken area, even if there is no medical treatment on site. Personnel, physicians can also use glasses to implement remote guidance.
According to reports, "MR + VR smart medical glasses" has successfully completed two clinical tests, and will gradually enter the application test and mass production stage. The R&D team hopes that this system will become a key life-saving tool for disaster relief in the future.
