Several issues and prevention measures for pig raising

In recent years, with the expansion of the live pig market, raising pigs has become a good way for every farmer to become rich. However, how to raise a good pig and how to reduce the cost of raising pigs have become the biggest concern for pig farmers. According to the observations and practices of the industry in recent years, the author summarizes some experiences on how to prevent and treat swine diseases. Share with everyone

Common diseases 1

Pig proliferative enteritis

Clinical symptoms

The incubation period of the disease is 2 weeks to 3 weeks, and the body temperature is generally normal. Clinically it can be divided into the following three types:

(1) Acute type. It is relatively rare and commonly occurs in adult pigs aged from 4 months to 12 months. The main manifestations are bloody watery diarrhea. When the disease course is longer, the bituminous black feces or bloody stools are drained and suddenly died. Later, it turns to yellow dilute feces, but also suddenly. Death only showed cases of pale skin without fecal abnormalities.

(2) chronic type. More common, mostly in growing pigs from 6 to 12 weeks of age, 10% to 15% of pigs have clinical symptoms, mainly manifested as loss of appetite or waste, mental depression or lethargy; interstitial diarrhea, feces become soft, Thinning, paste-like or watery, darker in color, sometimes mixed with blood or necrotic tissue debris; sick pigs were thin, arched back, some standing unstable, poor growth; elderly patients may have pale skin, If there is no secondary infection, some cases can recover in 4 weeks to 6 weeks.

(3) Subclinical. Although pathogens exist in pigs, there are no obvious clinical symptoms and slight diarrhoea may occur. However, they did not attract people's attention, and the growth rate and feed utilization rate were significantly reduced.

Etiology

1. Mixed populations or transfer groups; 2. Weather stress, such as heat stress or sudden changes in weather, etc.; 3. Disease outbreaks often occur in pigs left after listing; 4. Seasonal gilts are adapted or transferred to breeding pigs Shortly after the herd, this transmission may occur from sows to replacement pigs or from reserve pigs to pigs.

Prevention

Drug prevention

During the growth and fattening stage and during the period of isolation and adaptation of newly purchased replacement pigs, therapeutic dose (pulsed administration) of tilmicosin should be used to prevent and treat this disease.

10% Humegar (mainly composed of tilmicosin) drinks water at a rate of 40 kg per bottle, 3 days for the first week, no drugs for the second and third weeks, and 2 days for the fourth week.

Compound Timmy Pioneer (mainly composed of tilmicosin) is mixed with 200 kg of material per bag for 7 consecutive days, two weeks apart, and once again for a week.

medical treatement

(1) Water-soluble TMP+ Hengfuxing, mix 500kg per bag, mix for 7 days. (2) Dexamethasone sodium phosphate, intramuscularly at the recommended dose, once daily for 3 days. (3) 2 ml of gentamicin + long-acting oxytetracycline, mixed with 20 mg per kilogram of body weight, once in 2 days, and used 3 times. (4) Daily supply of sufficient drinking water or oral rehydration salts (sodium chloride 3.5 g, baking soda 2.5 g, potassium chloride 1.5 g, anhydrous glucose 20 g, added to 1000 ml of water) to prevent dehydration.

Strengthen feeding and management, reduce the external environment of the bad stimulus, improve the body's resistance. Using the all-in and all-out feeding system, the empty pig houses are thoroughly washed and disinfected.

Common diseases 2

Eperythrozoonosis (erythroderma)

The typical clinical symptoms are decreased performance of sows, poor body quality of piglets, anemia, and increased intestinal and respiratory infections. At the beginning of the disease, the pig's disease was weakened, and the body temperature increased to 39.5°C to 42°C, and the body twitched and turned or did not want to stand or lay out, resulting in constipation or diarrhea. The pig's ear, neck, chest, lower abdomen, inner parts of the limbs and other parts of the skin red purple, finger pressure does not fade.

Water-soluble tilmicosin, water-soluble florfenicol, azaphanic acid, and long-acting oxytetracycline can be used to supplement blood-borne drugs or feed additives.

Common diseases 3

Swine flu

Occurred in late autumn or sudden temperature changes.

Sudden onset of the pig, body temperature of 40 °C, loss of appetite, cough, runny nose, conjunctival flushing, easy to repeat.

Prevention and treatment of pig diseases: strengthen feeding and management, keep the house clean and dry, and regularly disinfect with 2% caustic soda; Qingkailing 10?20ml intramuscular injection of 100 pounds of body weight, 2 times a day for 3 to 5 days; virus spirit 10 to 20 ml, Gentamicin 5 to 10 ml intramuscularly, twice daily; Penicillin, 2 to 30 thousand units per kilogram of body weight, dissolved by intramuscular injection of 10 ml of procaine solution, oral administration of ciprofloxacin lactate soluble, amoxicillin soluble powder Disinfectant and other drugs.

These are the problems encountered by the author in the actual work and the best treatment methods to solve. I hope to solve practical problems for my friends.
