(1) It is necessary to determine the production purpose and correctly select the introduced species. Commonly selected breeds include Large White, Landrace, and Duroc.

(2) To introduce young pigs: The pigs have strong adaptability in the young age stage and are more likely to accept the changed external living conditions. Therefore, when introducing pig breeds, it is best to introduce young pigs of about the age of Wu Yueling or slightly larger.

(2) It is necessary to complete the “Licences for Production and Operation of Breeding Livestock and Poultry” and the “Vaccination Certificate for Animals” and determine the breeding farms without epidemic conditions for introduction. At the same time, the breeding pigs should be quarantined well before they are transported, and the breeding pig archives and quarantine certificates should be properly handled.

(3) Choose individuals carefully. When selecting individuals, apart from paying attention to breed characteristics, physical appearance, and healthy development status, it is required that the selected individuals have no genetic relationship.

(4) Properly arrange delivery time. Transporting pigs is not a long-term route, and should be arranged when the climate is cool.

(5) Breeding pigs, first isolated and reared for 15 to 20 days, determined as healthy pigs, can enter the pig farm mixed feeding.
